Application Areas
- Field instrument and control systems in explosive hazardous environments such as petrochemical, natural gas, and oil refining industries
- Signal isolation between Safe Area and hazardous area (Zone 2) in process automation systems
- Critical process control points requiring redundant power supply and remote diagnosis
Installation and Maintenance Guidelines
Installation
- Install via DIN rail or panel mounting method, ensuring the housing protection class meets on-site requirements.
- Check the voltage range and verify correct wiring of the redundant power supply before connecting power.
Wiring
- Use cables compliant with explosion-proof standards and insert field modules into corresponding channels.
- Ensure good shielding of HART communication lines to prevent signal interference.
Commissioning
- After power-on, check the status of LED indicators to confirm normal operation of both main and redundant power supplies.
- Perform self-test via HART and check for error codes (e.g., PF, LF).
Maintenance
- Regularly inspect fuses for aging and replace them when necessary.
- Clean dust from the housing to keep heat dissipation channels unobstructed.
- Verify the integrity of housing seals under extreme ambient temperatures.
